DISCONTINUED BY ACME, BUY NOW ALBERTO BERGA-PERALES was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1933. He has been a practicing architect since 1962, and has a Masters in Interior Design. He has also been a noted Professor of Architectonic Design, Project Manager and specialist in architecture and design for international hotels.     Since 1969, he has been involved with, and in many cases has directed Architectural Conferences, and has instigated various projects for the investigation of the applications of design and architecture. He has received many national and international awards for his architecture and design, and has been published in many international publications. He has also designed and directed numerous constructions of both public buildings and private homes throughout South America. He has designed hotel projects for Sheraton, Marriott, and Hilton throughout Argentina. And of course, he has been designing for ACME since 2002. ACME Studios was founded in Los Angeles in 1985 by Adrian Olabuenaga and his wife, Lesley Bailey. ACME made its first appearance with a limited edition collection of jewelry designed for them by Peter Shire, the LA-based member of the world renowned Memphis Group. Soon after the initial debut, ACME released a large collection of over one hundred pieces, MEMPHIS DESIGNERS for ACME, with the help of writer Barbara Radice and designerarchitect, Ettore Sottsass. Many pieces from this collection are now in the permanent collections of museums around the world (the Denver Art Museum and Brooklyn Museum of Art in the United States).
