DISCONTINUED BY ACME, BUY NOW SETH LONG KEAVENY was born in Atlanta Georgia in 1975. He received a BA in psychology from Tulane University and continued his education at the Savannah College of Art and Design to receive a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Furniture Design. In May of 2002 he established his design studio art firm Keaveny LLC. Maintaining a modernistic approach along with formalistic beliefs his company focuses its attention on furniture and small product designs for manufacturers both domestically and internationally. Dubbed one of the ten most Avant-Guard designers practicing in the United States he continually focuses strict adherence to visual balance composition and structural integrity in an attempt to successfully unite the qualities of utility within functional design. ACME Studios was founded in Los Angeles in 1985 by Adrian Olabuenaga and his wife, Lesley Bailey. ACME made its first appearance with a limited edition collection of jewelry designed for them by Peter Shire, the LA-based member of the world renowned Memphis Group. Soon after the initial debut, ACME released a large collection of over one hundred pieces, MEMPHIS DESIGNERS for ACME, with the help of writer Barbara Radice and designerarchitect, Ettore Sottsass. Many pieces from this collection are now in the permanent collections of museums around the world (the Denver Art Museum and Brooklyn Museum of Art in the United States).
